We will show you how to distribute music with the music distribution system to all the stores. All with DistroMotion.

  • First, Register & log in to your DistroMotion account and from the left menu head to the Music Distribution section.
  • Start by creating a label or artist and giving it a name of your choice.
  • Once your label or artist is created, click the Register Release button to begin setting up your music release.
  • First, assign an artist and select the role. Set the display artist.
  • Next, fill in the data for the release. Fill in the required fields, such as the artist or label and barcode. If you don’t have a barcode, you can leave that field blank.
  • Provide the release title and version.

Note the optional sections you can leave blank.

  • Select a genre and sub genre, provide the publish line, and set the publishing year. Enter the copyright information and copyright year.
  • Now, set the price for your song.
  • Next, upload the cover artwork in the correct format, 3000 per 3000 pixels in JPEG.
  • Indicate whether the track is explicit, clean, or non-explicit.
  • Choose if you want to release the track for streaming or downloads, or both. If it’s a cover song, it will only be distributed to streaming platforms.
  • If you’d like, enable pre-order by setting a pre-order and pre-order release date.
  • Lastly, select the release date.
  • You can select specific countries, or you can leave the selection as “all world.” The same applies to stores, if you want to select specific stores, uncheck "all stores" and select your specific ones.
  • After completing these steps, click Submit to finalize your release setup.
  • Now, click Create Track.
  • Here, select the artist. Then, it’s important to set the publisher.
  • If you have an ISRC code, add it to ensure your track retains its previous streams, or you can leave it blank.
  • Next, select the parental warning type and other details, like whether the track contains vocals. Select your track preview option, and if it contains vocals mark the checkbox for it, then select the language and optionally add lyrics.
  • For platforms like Beatport, you can select the track preview option and set the preview start and end time. However, it’s optional, so you can leave it blank.
  • Once everything is complete, click Submit and upload the track file.

This may take a couple of minutes, depending on your connection. Ensure the file meets the required format specified by the system. You can add more songs if needed or finalize the release by clicking Submit and Distribute Now.

  • Congratulations! That’s it!

After the release is approved, our system delivers the release normally within a maximum 48 hours to all the selected stores.

If there’s an issue with your submission, our team will notify you via email. You can make corrections and re-submit the release for approval.
