In this guide we will show you how to get verified and upgrade a Youtube Channel to a YouTube Verified Official Artist Channel (OAC).
Requirements:
- Have an own Topic Channel.
- At least one song was distributed by a music distribution partner with a service such as DistroMotion (Click here to go to our music distribution service page) on the artist's Topic YouTube channel.
- The Topic Channel and the Own Channel must have the same artist name.
About the Topic Channel:
Note that when one music was provided by a music distribution partner to Youtube, the music will be not delivered to your own personal YouTube channel, instead, a new channel will be created for you which is called a Topic Channel. You may first see your Art Track appear on a channel called Various Artists – Topic. This is expected behaviour and you will soon find that the video moves to a new channel specific to you. This should appear in the channel name format ‘Artist Name – Topic.’
Instructions:
- First access to your DistroMotion account and go to Other Services zone in the left menu.
- Then pres the Submit New Application button and keep going with pressing the ''Continue with the Process'' button.
- In the corresponding field Share the Artist's Topic Channel URL:

- Then in the corresponding field Share the Artist Channel URL:
Such as for example this Personal Channel:
- Select if you want to merge a VEVO channel with the Artist Channel and add the VEVO channel link in the field:
(If you leave VEVO Channel Checkbox unselected this field is OPTIONAL)
- Then by last go ahead and pay the corresponding amount for the process to be started by our team handling all for you.
- At this point you will be done from your side, will write an email to you to keep the process tracked closely together with you and we will process the request, after Youtube approve the request you will get verified and your Youtube Channel will be upgraded to a YouTube Official Artist Channel (OAC) and will show an Official Artist Channel Verified badge like this:
